INFO:
Who said disco can’t be heavy? In 1979, Paul Stanley came home after a night of dancing at Studio 54 and decided to write his own “126 bpm hit”. It’s got such a great groove. The bassline contrasting with the guitar parts creates a brutal yet funky feel. The original is awesome, but I think it’s the live performances where I think I Was Made For Loving You really excels. Especially drop tuned, it chugs along like a tank. The KISS Symphony performance is probably my preferred version, not so much because of the orchestra, but the overall energy of the night, plus the outstanding condition of Paul’s voice. And of course because it was filmed in ‘Straya! Either way, it’s a classic that I thoroughly enjoyed recording for you! What other KISS songs should I cover? I've got a few ideas 💡
